The Alarm.com ADC-BOS-BC23-HW is a bed sensor system with a 2GIG transmitter that is ideal for safe independent homecare and elder living. The Alarm.com wellness suite of devices provides caregivers with real-time insight into each client's present status as well as possible emergency concerns by utilizing inconspicuous wireless sensors throughout the client's living environment.

Product Programming:

  • Use the Alarm.com AirFX Add a Sensor interface or the 2GIG panel interface to add the bed sensor to the account. Set the New Sensor Information as shown in the chart.
  • After the sensor is added to the system, change the sensor type to Occupancy by doing the following: From the equipment page of the Dealer Website click the Change button to the right of the sensor's name. Select the Change Sensor Type action, and update the new sensor type to Occupancy.

Product Installation:

  1. Locate the sensor within 100 feet of the base station.
  2. Place the sensor on top of a mattress and below the sheets with the dark blue side facing up. The sensor should be positioned directly under the hip area when an individual is lying down. The sensor should be placed horizontally across the bed. It is recommended that the bed sensor is placed under a thin mattress pad to improve comfort.
  3. Tuck the transmitter and any excess cable between the mattress and box spring.
  4. To test the bed sensor, apply weight directly above the mat for several seconds and release. View the Event History page on the Dealer Website to confirm the sensor activity.
